今年の夏

今年は　まだ　終わらなくても、今　 カルフォルニアに　ぜんぜん　帰りたくありません。ここには　一番好きな　友達が　いるし、毎日　楽しい　思いでを　つくっているし、新しい　けいけんを　しています。ニューポートビーチでは　せいかつが　あまり　おもしろくありません。

だから、今年の夏に　はたらくつもりです。まだ　夏の仕事が　分かりません。でも、わたしは　いそがしい　だったら、夏は　早く　終わってしまいます。それから、コロンビア大学へ　帰れます！ちょっと　行ってきます！

Coachella

Coachellaは　わたしの　一番　好きな　まつりです。毎年　カリフォルニアの Indioへ　友達と行きます。３日 いろいろな　音楽を　聞くことができます。かならず　Coachellaは　わたしの　大好きな　バンドが　いつも　あります。今　わたしは　大学生だから　今年　行くことが　できません。とても　たいへんです！

友達に旅行をしょうかいする！

田中さん、お元気ですか。ロサンゼルスは　すばらしい旅行の　ところだと　思います。カリフォルニアへ　行った時、　うみに　入ったり、おいしい食べ物を　食べたりすることが　できました。そこに　たくさんが　あるから、　今　べんりな　りょていを　作っています。田中さん、　さいしょに　朝ごはんを　ロズカフェーで　食べます。いっぱい　食べてから　LACMA びじゅつかんへ　行きます。そこは　ちょっと　とおいから　車を　借りなければなりません。ときどき　トラッフィクが　ありますが　しんぱいしないで　下さい。うんてんする時、いいおんがくを　ラジオで　きくことが　できます。さいごに　めずらしい晩ごはん　を　のぶで　食べます。しつもんが　ありますか。わたしは　ロサンゼルスへ　ぜひ　行きたいですが　旅行の時間が　ありません。ロサンゼルスから　わたしに　はがきを　送って　下さい！

What does communication mean to you?

To me, communication is the use of any outlet--language, art, music, etc.--to establish a common understanding between two individuals/parties. Finding a mode of communication with another individual can be challenging, but I believe it is possible to connect with anybody, no matter the race, language, or disability. Language is, in my opinion, the most effective mode of communication. It transcends all other forms of communication in that it forces full immersion in a foreign culture. While language requires more effort and time, I believe it allows us to step inside the shoes of a foreigner and thus create a stronger, more intimate relationship with people.

わたしの　一番　好きな　ところは　日本です。きれいで　おもしろい国ですから、三回　日本へ　行った　ことが　あります。そこの　食べ物は　とても　おいしいです。日本に　いるとき、　かならず　いっぱい　たべます。

わたしは　日本に　かぞくが　あります。去年　北海道で　おばさんと　おじさんに　はじめて　会いました。北海道で　ゆめいな　おんせんや　山などへ　行きました。また、かえりたいです！！

冬休み

(Lake Tahoe)

カルフォニアへ　かえりましたから、今年のふゆ休みは　とてもたのしかったです。かぞくで　みなさんに　会いました。いっしょに　クリスマスと　おしょうがつを　しました。おいしいりょうりが　多かったです。
あとで、Lake Tahoeへ　かぞくと　スキーに　行きました。そこで、まいにち　あそびました。　Lake Tahoeの　しろい山は　めずらしいです。５日に　２回　ゆきが　ふっていました！すぐ、カルフォニアへ　ぜひ　かえりたいです。でも、いま　ニューヨークも　とても　すばらしいですよ！
